Christmas Tree Hunting!!

We headed up the mountain on Friday to find the perfect Christmas tree!!! Katie didn't get the whole point of it and was really frustrated on why we wouldn't just cut down any tree. We searched for the perfect tree and then after we were on our way back, Katie commeneted that none of the trees are perfect. She is so right and the tree you cut always looks better in the forest them in your living room. But, we had tons of fun.

We cut down 3 trees. One big one for the family tree and Katie and Tyson each got there own tree to decorate. Katie decorated her's with all of our family ornaments and all of the ornaments that she has gotten from Grammie. Tyson decorated his with all cowboy stuff. They turned out pretty cute.

I broke down and bought matching ornaments this year so we didn't look so Charlie Brown. I went with blue and silver and I think it turned out pretty nice.

Two years ago when we first got to Montana we had some good friends take us out and cut down trees. They do it every year and take sleds and donuts and hot chocolate. Katie was totally disappointed that we didn't follow that. She even had us stop and she used her own money to buy donuts to take. Luckily, I had brought some cider but it was gross by the time we drank it! Oh well, we had a great day together as a family.
