Well, I decided that I would make a quick post but realized I have so much to say. But, maybe I will get it all done within the next couple days. I don't really have any pictures to post because I am the worst picture taker and I never remember to bring my camera anywhere I go.
Well, I am currently in St. George with my family. We all came down here on June 20th for a little summer vacation. Jake spent time fishing and camping with his brothers and a vegas trip with his dad. We went to Zions and spent the 4th of July (actually the 3rd of July because we are in Utah and the 4th is a Sunday) in Kanab with Jake's family. We had fun seeing all the family and even some good friends from Italy. We made a trip to Cedar City for the Utah Summer Games to watch Tyler play basketball and had a mini reunion with Jake's Family. We even enjoyed the Groove Fest with Joe.
Jake flew back home on the 4th and the kids and I are staying for a couple weeks. We have enjoyed spending time with our cousins and grammie and grandpa. Lots of swimming, splash pads and snow cone runs. We spent a couple days in Las Vegas with Heather and Shawn and have suprisenly not melted yet.
While we were here my Grandpa Goodwin passed away and I am so grateful we were here for my daddy and all the family. He was an amazing man and has left a wonderful legacy behind. I am so happy to know that him and Grandma are back together. What a wonderful day that was!!!!
Jake finally started his training program in Spokane. He is so excited and I have hardly been able to talk to him because he is so busy. If your interested, go to hulu.com and search for Survival School and you can watch eposides about the training that he is going through. This is not for the weak stomach though!!!
Well, besides not being at home for the last month. We have really liked Spokane so far. We planted a garden this year and thanks to great neighbors and friends it is still alive. Jake and I have also both received callings in the primary. Jake is a teacher for the 10 year olds and I play the piano.
Katie finished the 2nd grade and is looking forward to 3rd grade. She made huge improvements this year and her confidence level has risen 10 fold!!!! She is starting to love reading and looks forward to our trips to the library to find new books. Last time she checked out all the Amelia Bedelia books they had. Katie is enjoying activity days also and can't wait for them to start back up again.
Tyson is registered for Pre-K next year at Katie's school. He is so excited to be able to go to school with Katie. He can't ride the bus yet but he doesn't seem to mind. He will go 2 days a week this year and I'll get at least a couple hours of me time. Humm....what to do!!!
Well, that seems to be the most recent information on our little lives. I'll post more when time permits or I find some cute pics.
