Hungry

So the title of my post has nothing to do with anything except that is all I can think about......

This weekend has been long. Thursday Jake left for Georgia for the next 3 & 1/2 weeks and of course Friday I wake up to a dead battery on my van. It never fails that when you are running late things go bad. So, no worries....we have 3 vehicles so it shouldn't be a problem. WRONG..... Jake accidentally took the keys to the Jimmy and it was parked behind the car. So, I ended up jumping the van with the battery starter in the rain while Katie sat in the house crying that she was late for school. Of course it was the same day she missed the bus and practiced so hard for her spelling test that she was now going to miss.

I should have just gone back to bed, but instead, I put dinner in the crock pot and invited a friend over for dinner. After 5 hours in the crock pot, my rice was still crunchy......I ended up taking my friend to burger king. Gross and embarrassing!!!!!

Well, Katie had a sleep over with a friend and Saturday we all went to a movie. We tried to go to bed early but that didn't work so well.

Sunday has been a great relaxing day. We miss Jake and the next 3 weeks are going to be really long since it has only been 3 days and it seems like a week. I am thankful that Katie has a queen bed and lets me sleep by her. My bed is lonely and all the way upstairs. The wind is always stronger and scarier and the house makes horrible noises when Jake is gone.
